Memberships dues is from June 2013 – June 2014. The only reason a dues was set into place, there are repairs needed to the truck used to haul all our proteins 3 times a month. 28,000 miles later and we are in dyer need of truck tires and ball joints.
All members were required to pay their dues no later than June 15th 2013. Its now October and we still have many members that have not paid. So we are taking this poll to see what needs to be done with members that are in our group, but do not order from the co-op. Please vote only once and make up you own answers if you like. This poll will be posted for one week. Thank you for your time.
I don’t think they should have to pay a full membership if they don’t order but a 20$ membership fee to access all the valuable info on the cc website is not asking to much. a lot of people put a lot of time into creating this group and researching all the valuable files I
I think that no membership fee should apply until the first order. I also think we could afford $40 per year (at least) membership fee and a $10 delivery fee.
I do not feel that if a person on the website joins for the conversation and the wealth of information and does not order; should pay member fees. The reason being is that I believe that would deter any future ordering for potential customers. A lot of people are curious and just want to be informed before making a change for their pets. Charging a fee would only send those future customers to another venue or receive misguided information elsewhere.
I understand your feelings on this gals. But the CC FB group was started for CC members. To send notifications on deliveries, stops, times etc. Lots of members invited their friends and family into the group. This is where it gets tricky. As they are saving tons of money in vet bills, with the info from our dues paying members. The same benefits that paying members are. Myself, I dont feel that is fair. Im an admin on three other raw feeding groups on FB and Yahoo, and those wanting to learn can be guided to those groups.
As far as non-ordering members, it is a tricky area. Maybe have one week of being on the facebook page to see what the group is all about? Then, if they want to stay, charge them a membership fee. I have never done facebook until this group. I probably would have not wanted to pay the fee to join if I was not ordering anything. But now that I have joined, I definitely would pay the fee to be a member that just was there for the info only. I also would have no problem paying a $10 delivery fee and I also would have no problem paying a $100.00 yearly membership fee. I would prefer the delivery fee and membership fee to be more and not have our meat prices go way up.
Im a memeber of the FB group and i do not order from the co op ( im in PA) and imo i have no problem paying a simple $30 for a membership…i feel im doing my small part to continue to help people learn about raw feeding and keep these co ops running…we all need to come together as group and help out as much as possible to feed our pets appropriately…
